    Monitors operation procedures to ensure Q.A. standards are met at a minimum cost.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:

    • Monitors and communicates processing procedures in manufacturing and packaging.
    • Records review of daily manufacturing and packaging operational documentation.
    • Monitors raw material handling procedures (inspection, rotation and fat analysis).
    • Monitors product testing and performance.
    • Ensures compliance with all established safety procedures.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Food Science, or related field, and 2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree with prior QA experience in the food industry, preferred. 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel.
    • Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and follow-through.
    • High level of mathematical and analytical reasoning skills.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage several activities / projects at once, to organize / prioritize work, to meet deadlines and to prepare plans and budgets.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently as a project leader and in a team based environment.

    This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

    • The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
    • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
