  • Overview

    The Finance Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing all transportation, warehouse and inventory related transactions.


    • Responsible for developing KPIs and developing roadmap for benchmarking transportation, warehousing and inventory.
    • Understand the end-to-end process of reporting - identify & prioritize areas of analytical opportunity to drive value creation within the transportation, warehousing and inventory sector.
    • Develops and oversees annual financial plans and forecasts; partnering with the Accounting team to understand and challenge inputs to improve accuracy.
    • Develop activity-based costing standards model for all warehousing expense
    • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
    • Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
    • Effectively interfaces with business leaders to understand and report upon key financial trends, challenges, opportunities, and forecasting implications.
    • Uses systematic reporting and information to prepare detailed, objective scenario analyses.
    • Develops financial best practices and process improvements for financial reporting and planning to include but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, month-end close.
    • Commits to the leadership and development of team members while fostering a positive, collaborative work culture
    • Utilizes a hands-on approach to manage and prioritize special projects, and participates in other projects as required.

    • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Economics and 5+ years’ experience in reporting, consolidation and financial analysis, required
    • 2+ years experience acting as a lead by providing training, guidance or mentoring to less experienced staff or managing processes and projects
    • Experience in CPG industry is a plus
    • Accounting/GAAP knowledge
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel & Access)
    • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects
    • Excellent written and verbal Communication skills
    • Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects as well as strong follow through skills
    • Ability to complete projects timely and accurately critical
    • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
    • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Provides leadership and guidance to employees on the Finance Team.

    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assisting in providing appropriate resolutions.
